rebuilding the stone arch

The stone arch being rebuilt.

The stone arch being rebuilt, note that the bottom of the arch is raised up on a brick base. This is because later  under floor heating was installed which raised the floor level up by 6". In the background the brickwork is being laid creating a simpler doorway where the arch was.

Stone arch reassembly, stone sections and hood moulding remaining

The stone arch partially built with the remaining sections lying in the foreground

The vertical sections of the arch and brickwork behind are growing. The remaining sections, including the hood moulding, are in the foreground.
